Samsung unveils HBM4E at GTC 2026… Sole memory supplier for NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform
Samsung Electronics announced on the 17th that it showcased its next-generation HBM4E physical chip and core die wafer for the first time at NVIDIA GTC 2026 held in San Jose, U.S. The HBM4E combines Samsung’s 1c DRAM process with its foundry 4-nanometer base die design capability, supporting speeds of 16Gbps per pin and bandwidth of 4.0TB/s.
Samsung also introduced Hybrid Copper Bonding (HCB) technology, which improves thermal resistance by more than 20% compared to previous solutions and enables stacking of 16 or more layers. The company emphasized that it is the only supplier globally capable of providing all memory and storage components (HBM4, SOCAMM2, PM1763) for NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform. SOCAMM2 has also begun mass production shipments for the first time in the industry. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang personally visited Samsung’s booth.
SK Networks to sell 90% stake in used-phone subsidiary Mintit for KRW 45 billion
SK Networks has signed an agreement to sell a 90% stake in its used-phone trading subsidiary Mintit to SME-focused investment firm T&K Private Equity for KRW 45 billion. Spin-offed in 2021, Mintit has led unattended used-phone trading through its “Mintit ATM” network across key 생활 hubs nationwide. In 2025, it received certification as Korea’s first “trusted used-phone transaction operator” from the Korea Association for ICT Promotion (KAIT). SK Networks will retain the remaining 10% stake and aims to complete the deal within the first half, accelerating its transition into an AI-focused holding company.
LG Uplus and Allforland sign MOU to expand next-generation bus information system ‘AI Live Bus’

LG Uplus has partnered with spatial information specialist Allforland to enhance a next-generation Bus Information System (BIS) based on ultra-precise positioning technology. AI Live Bus reflects bus locations in real time at centimeter-level accuracy using RTK technology and provides precise arrival time predictions by analyzing road conditions, weather, and historical data. The companies plan to launch the service under a subscription model and jointly develop low-power Bus Information Terminals (BIT) using solar panels and E-paper by the second half of the year.
S-OIL launches integrated ITO project with Samsung SDS… Data center relocation completed after 10 years

S-OIL held a kickoff event on the 16th at Samsung SDS’s Sangam data center to mark the start of a three-year integrated IT outsourcing (ITO) project. A large-scale data center relocation, after about a decade, has now been completed. Samsung SDS will support overall IT operations, including application management, infrastructure operations, security, and cloud transition consulting.
KT Hi-Order surpasses 200,000 terminals in 2 years and 10 months… launches ‘Safe Buyback’ service
KT’s premium table-order service Hi-Order has exceeded 200,000 active tables in real-time usage. The service has expanded beyond the restaurant sector into hotels, hospitals, postpartum care centers, religious facilities, and cruise ships. KT also introduced an add-on “Hi-Order Safe Buyback” service to mitigate business closure risks.
TTA issues first private-sector video surveillance security certification to ADT Caps
The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) has issued Korea’s first private-sector “Video Information Processing Device Security TTA Verified” certification to seven products from SK Shieldus’ ADT Caps. Certification criteria include identification and authentication, protection of transmitted and stored video data, and security management functions across 25 test items.
Naver and SBS sign MOU to enhance AI technology and content synergy
Naver and SBS signed a memorandum of understanding at Naver 1784 to build a comprehensive partnership. The companies will collaborate on AI-based media technology development and content competitiveness, including co-producing content combining SBS production capabilities with Naver’s webtoon and web novel IP.
SK Telecom launches customer advisory group of 100 members
SK Telecom held a launch ceremony on the 16th at T Factory Seongsu for a customer advisory panel consisting of 100 participants from diverse occupations and age groups. The panel will take part from early stages of product, service, and marketing planning and hold regular monthly meetings.
