Ukrainian Counter-Offensive On July 24: Losses Grow Without Victories
The military situation on the southern Ukrainian frontlines remains unchanged. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are likely preparing for another wave of large-scaled attacks which could mark the second stage of Kiev’s counter-offensive.
The frontlines did not change in the Zaporozhie region. Ukrainian assault groups, together with foreign mercenaries, attempted several attacks on the village of Rabotino but failed to advance. They were timely spotted by Russian reconnaissance and destroyed by Russian artillery. Clashes continue a few kilometers from the outskirts of the village.
To the south Velika Novosilka, the AFU continue attempts to break through Russian defense near Priyutnoe, Staromayorskoe and Urozhainoe. So far, to no avail.
The AFU attempted an attack on Russian military positions near Dorozhnyanka located to the south of Gulyai-Pole. They were repelled by Russian forces and failed to capture any new military positions.
The situation did not change in the area of Pyatikhatki, where another Ukrainian assault group was destroyed by Ukrainian artillery.

In the South Donetsk direction, operational-tactical and army aviation strikes, artillery fire of the Vostok group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Makarovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Levadnoye in the Zaporozhye region.
In the Zaporozhye direction, air strikes and artillery fire hit the AFU units in the areas of the settlements of Malaya Tokmachka, Orekhov and Pyatikhatki in the Zaporozhye region.
In the area of the settlement of Mirnoye, Zaporozhye region, the activities of the sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were suppressed.
Enemy losses in these areas during the day amounted to 120 Ukrainian servicemen, three armored combat vehicles, two cars, the US-made M777 artillery system, as well as the self-propelled howitzer “Carnation” (Gvozdika). Also, an ammunition depot of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed near the village of Kamenskoye, Zaporozhye region.
NATO patrons of Kiev’s military continue using Ukrainian servicemen for their tactics of “meat assaults” in an attempt to exhaust Russian defenses. However, there is the risk that the Ukrainian military reserves that are already deployed on the frontlines may exhaust soon too.
