On the night of June 4, Ukrainian forces targeted Crimea with UAVs. Russian air defence forces intercepted all the targets and Ukrainian attempts to struck targets on the peninsula failed.

According to head of the Crimean Republic Sergey Aksenov, Russian air defence forces shot down five enemy UAVs. Four other drones were intercepted by means of electronic warfare. In total, nine UAVs targeted the peninsula.

There are no casualties. As a result of the attack, one of the drones fell and windows were broken in three private houses and two cars in Dzhankoy. Another UAV, which was intercepted by EW means, was found on the territory of a private house. The aircraft did not explode. Before it was neutralised by military specialists, 50 people were evacuated to a temporary accommodation facility.

According to local reports, two Mugin-5 UAVs were destroyed near Kumovo. Another exploded in the air near Stereguschee, and another one was intercepted near Krasnaya Polyana in the north-western part of the peninsula. Three more drones were reportedly shot down by the Pantsir-S1 system near Dzhankoy in norther Crimea.
