In Video 18+: Ukrainian Barrier Squad In Action
A UAV of the Russian 27th brigade reportedly filmed Ukrainian punishers on the BTR-4 Bucephalus killing their own fighters who withdrew from their positions. The incident took place near the village of Berestovoe in the Kharkiv region.
The video confirms that a group of Ukrainian servicemen left their positions amid heavy fighting. They are seen exhausted carrying their wounded comrad out from the battlefield. However, the Nazi punishers from a barrier squad of the AFU payed no attention to their wounds and opened fire on the group.
The operation of Ukrainian barrier squads on the Ukrainian front lines was confirmed since the very beginning of the conflict. They mainly include the most motivated and ruthless members of the Ukrainian Nazi battalions. They are operating on various front lines to “motivate” Ukrainian soldiers. Most often their victims are mobilized servicemen, many of whom were not properly prepared for heavy fighting, and do not have a great desire to fight. Kiev uses these soldiers as cannon fodder.
