An uprated and more powerful version of the Diamond Aircraft Reconnaissance Trainer (DART) aircraft was showcased at the Paris Air Show 2023 for the first time on 19 June.

The Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-25C-powered DART-750 (named after the 750 shp of the engine) was displayed in the static line-up at Le Bourget just seven days after making its maiden flight on 12 June. Alongside the upgrade of the engine installation, the DART-750 features various system upgrades.

As said by the Austrian manufacturer, the DART-750 will be a civil-certified all-composite aerobatic turboprop trainer. Its tandem seat cockpit is equipped with a Garmin G3000 avionics suite, while the aircraft has a top speed of 265 kt and an endurance of 3.5 hours.

Based on the DART-750, Diamond is offering a DART Basic Training Solution, comprising the aircraft, a proprietary DART flight and navigation procedures trainer (FNPT) II simulator, and DART Computer Based Training (CBT) experience. With the DART Basic Training Solution, Diamond Aircraft will be covering all phases of basic training including Ground Based Training Systems (GBTS) and Basic Trainer Aircraft (BTA).
