Precious Trophy: Russian Forces Captured Storm Shadow Missile
Russian troops received a precious trophy on the Ukrainian front lines. On July 7, servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation completed a two-day operation to deliver a British Storm Shadow missile that fell in the Zaporozhye region to Moscow.
Dmitry Rogozin, now the head of the Military Technical Center “Tsar Wolves”, commented on the incident, claiming that servicemen of the BARS-11 volunteer detachment and the command of the Tsar Wolves unit managed to take British Storm Shadow cruise missile from the battlefield in a gray zone. It was only partially destroyed but it was decided to disassemble it for ease of transportation.
Group of Ukrainian servicemen was send to attack Russian forces and prevent them from taking the missile.
“There was a GPS tracker, which could guide the enemy group. Despite the fact that we blocked it, our fighters could not sleep with this missile, they moved all the time and even took the fight — there was an attempt by the enemy’s sabotage and reconnaissance group to intercept a car with a rocket and an escort car on the road,” Rogozin added.
The missile was delivered to one of the defense enterprises in Moscow. Russian specialists will study the system of these weapons and share the information with the military from air defense forces, which will allow the Russians to find the most effective ways to combat them.
